Many companies spend lots of energy on their legal compliance and reporting. This documentation has a tendency to become a bit heavy and maybe not always spread throughout the company, and foremost of all, not read and understood by all.

Sustainability playbook is a format that we recommend for our clients who want to make complex information accessible to many. A sustainability playbook clarifies in a simple way  how a company’s sustainability strategy will be achieved, what context the business operates within, and how all employees can contribute to the journey. Usually, the target group is internal, with the primary aim being to create engagement among employees, strengthen employer branding, make all co-workers engaged and become sustainability ambassadors.

Process

We use storytelling, narratives, design and illustrations that make it easier to connect to sustainability with both heart and mind. The narratives contain why our client is working with sustainability, what the main points of impact are, and how the client will scale its contributions looking ahead. We create guides explaining how different functions at the company can contribute to the overarching sustainability ambitions and goals. Lastly, a short sustainability dictionary is included that explains the sustainability terminology used at your company. This section ensures that everyone speaks the same language, supporting the creation of a common knowledge level.

Change

A sustainability playbook that can be used widely. It will support you in explaining your sustainability strategy internally, with clear actions for the board, management group, departments, business areas, and functions. The sustainability playbook can also be used externally as a communication tool targeting a variety of stakeholders, being part of an interest dialogue or materiality process. The communication is often used in different social media platforms.
